David Larson

I originally came to Oahu in 2019 on a ministry trip during my M.Div. with Dr. Bruno. After that trip, I had passion to see robust, in-person theological education offered in the islands. After subsequent trips, staying in touch with pastors, and hearing the affirmation of others, we pursued ministry in Hawaii. And so, my family and I moved here in 2022 to equip and raise up leaders in the Pacific Islands. 

Let me tell you why I am excited about OTS. I'm eager to serve at OTS to see younger men and women become equipped to teach and proclaim the gospel of Jesus throughout the Pacific Islands in such a way that is faithful to Scripture's own teaching as handed down to us by the Great Christian Tradition within the Reformed expression. I believe OTS' values and teaching philosophy (as well as theology!) bring out significant elements for faithful, long-term ministry: Holy Scripture, the classical Christian faith as handed down throughout the centuries, discipleship, character formation, and theology for and within the church. Such an institution, I believe will, by God's grace, bring many faithful shepherds into the Pacific.
