Creeds and Confessions

Given the broad nature of OTS in its reformational vein and given its commitment to traditional Christianity, faculty members of OTS are required to affirm the Christian faith. 


In particular, faculty members must affirm, adhere, and teach the doctrine of all these major, traditional creeds of Christianity:  


1. Apostles’ Creed 

2. Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed 

3. Athanasian Creed 

4. The Chalcedonian Definition 


In addition to affirming all the creeds noted above, faculty must also affirm at least one of the following Reformational Confessions:  


1. Belgic Confession of Faith 

2. Westminster Confession of Faith 

3. Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion 

4. Second London Baptist Confession
