"The fear of the Lord Leads to wisdom, and humility comes before honor."
My desire to meaningfully contribute to the advancement of the Great Commission came about when I was in high school, reading John Piper's "Don't Waste Your Life" and "Let the Nations Be Glad." This ambition to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples in Jesus Christ was nurtured during my education at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. After graduating and working in various missional ministries, God called me to go to seminary at the Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, MN. During seminary, God continued to grow my passion for global missions, theological education, and the local church. And in 2021, my friend and mentor, Chris Bruno, invited me to join him in planting the Oahu Theological Seminary.
Let me tell you why I am excited about OTS. Partly due to its multicultural richness, unique diversity, and geographic location, I believe that the Hawaiian Islands can become one of the greatest places to train and mobilize cross-cultural Christian workers who can faithfully steward God's Word and proclaim the gospel throughout the Pacific. OTS has the opportunity to harness Hawaii's missional potential by building up the islands' bandwidth of qualified Christian teachers and workers who can be mobilized to minister among the Hawaiian Islands, the Pacific Rim, and the rest of the world! Cheehoo!
Fun Fact: My father is Steve Irwin...not the crocodile hunter, the podiatrist.
